Cay and I spent December 21 - 28 in a little town called Jaco on the Central Pacific Coast. We found it through a surf adventure company called Wavehunters who hooked us up with a little hotel called Las Olas in Playa Hermosa.
It was a blast. A true surf safari. We surfed uncrowded, beautiful longboard waves every day for at least three hours over one, two, or three sessions. We had a guide and driver named Alberto who is a 24 year old surfer god who made our trip wonderful. We visited a very cool national park and also took a stab at hang gliding.

I've uploaded a 44.3 MB QuickTime Movie to our swell.la site. I used our Canon PowerShot S70 to shoot AVI. It's 480 x 360, stereo sound, encoded using AAC and H.264 so you'll be needing the latest QuickTime. Download site for QT7 is here. I love H.264. State of the art and only getting better.
UPDATE: Some older mac users (sub 500 G3) might have problems with the file above. I've uploaded a 38 MB Quicktime movie @ 320 x 230 so that should be easier to handle. Pura Vida!
